"Aum" (also sometimes written as "Om") is the most sacred syllable often spoken during Hindu religious rites. It is a character from the Sanskrit language and is comprised of three different letters of the Sanskrit language. The English equivalent of those three letters being "A" "U" and "M". The three letters represent the Trinity (which in the Hindu relgion are the three Hindu Gods - Brahma (the Creator), Vishnu (the Preserver) and Shiva (the Destroyer). This sign, in Hinduism also represents the whole world.
